About us - Who are we?

passingiton is run on a purely voluntary basis. Nobody in passingiton gets paid which is one of the reasons for so much of the money getting to where it's needed most. The day to day running of passingiton is down to three people, Jimmy, Matt, and Jezz. They work together on the projects but also have a speciality or two.

Jimmy does all the hard work. He fills in the forms, organises the events, talks to a lot of people, and generally is a non-stop ideas machine. It's probably quite fortunate that he's an idea-filled, form-filling, organising junkie who likes talking a lot.

Matt likes drawing, painting and designing (it’s the day job). He is responsible for all the charity's artwork. He's also got a knack for working incessantly on the minor details, like trying to find major sponsors for our events!

Jezz tries to take Jimmy's numerous ideas and Matt's clever designs and turn them into a working website. As a reward for taking on this lovely task Matt and Jimmy let him run on race-day dressed as a giant hare. It doesn't sound like much of a reward to most people but it keeps Jezz happy.

The race day team make sure that our flagship event runs as smoothly and it wouldn't be possible without them. Deborah Simpson is in charge of PR whilst Jasper Macintosh and Lousie Ashwell advise on all things web based and generally roll their sleeves up.
