Project 3 Our aims for the future

As a result of our visit in Jan 2010 passingiton and Fresh Start Foundation were able to identify the key areas within the school community that need development.

passingiton's fund raising efforts will focus on two primary aims:

1) To build a perimeter fence to improve school security

The school is not contained which menas that there is no way of stopping the local wild stock wondering into the school. We can say from experience that 500lbs cows walikng into the classrooms is not the safest enviroment for children to be learning in!

2) To build a community centre on the school grounds

Kwinnella Lower Basic school truly is the heart of the Kwinella community and thus a community would be vital for its growth and development. This has been a dream of the Fresh Start Foundation for the last 5 years and we are delighted to be helping them achieve this goal. The centre will provide vocational training for those children who cannot afford to go to school or have learning difficulties.
