What we do - Our aim
Many of the best things in life are simple. We have an aim, and it's really simple: we raise money to build schools and support education in some of the poorest areas of Africa.
Six years ago we began with one project in Kenya. At present we're funding the building of a school/Orphanage in Ghana, have recently funded the buying of new equipment for a Medical school in Zambia and have also just supplied a School in Gambia with the new solar panel equipment needed to upgrade their water pump. Their water pump will now be able to provide water to the entire Kwinella community not just the School itself. Thanks to Pete Small at Logo sports we have also sent out lots of children's sport kit to this School.
3 Members of the team will be visiting the school from the 5th to the 12th January 2010 with a look to possibly increasing our level of support.
To do these projects we need money, and although we know that the projects are worthwhile we also know that it's unlikely that people will just give it to us. So to raise money we organise events. Not just any old events, we organise events that are fun to take part in and fun to watch. This means that by helping to put a smile on the faces of people in Africa we also put smiles on the faces of people in the UK.
There's not much more to it than that really. Our aim is to make the events bigger and to start up more projects in Africa.
If you want to help out then that would be great. Donations, participation, or simply telling other people about what we do will all help. There are already teams of people running events to raise money and resources for passingiton, but there will always be room for one more. If you're interested then get in touch.
